Smarter power consumption

 A $10 Defense Against Vampire Electronics could help conserve electricity and money. I'd like to see multi-gang outlets that can tell the difference between powered-on power usage and powered-off usage and deny power to those items when they're off. I think that would be a smarter, more efficient approach. In the meantime, this - or unplugging - is a way to reduce vampire power usage.
